Kids/Family Class 7:00pm- 8:00pm
Wednesday and Thursday
This class is designed for children (ages 5-11), and parents who want to workout together as a family (if the the child is 4-years old, please see the instructor to evaluate their ability). The curriculum includes: calisthenics, stretching, and other warm-up exercises, followed by core development, punching, striking, blocking and kicking techniques. After that, a different area of focus will be selected each class, such as break-falls, hip kick drills, rolling, falling, jumping kicks, step-sparring, balance and skill building games and activities. Adult students, 12 and up, are encouraged to participate in both kids, family and adult classes for additional practice at no extra cost.


Adult Class/Woman's Self defense
(By invitation Sat. mornings 9:00am)


This class is designed for students ages 16 and up. After calisthenics, stretching and warm-up exercises, it is a high-intensity, fast-paced and focused self-defense workout that includes, core development, punching, striking, blocking, and kicking techniques. Following this, a different area of focus will be selected for each class throughout the month, such as: break-falls, hip kick drills, rolling, jumping kicks, ground fighting, step-sparring, and Hapkido joint-locking, take-downs, throws, control holds, and vital point striking, kicking, and grappling techniques, called points.

Mr sidwell has been doing hapkido since 13 yrs old and has seen every karate kid movie- which is what started him down the path of martial arts. He is also a pediatric occupational therapist and an expert in movement-based tension release for muscles and joints. He has 3 young daughters and a beautiful wife that inspire him to be better every day.

Ms Griffin has been training in the martial art for over 13 years and is currently a 3rd dan blackbelt.  she is the co-instructor for the Centerville gym's and is responsible along with Mr. Sidwell for the day to day class instruction. She is passionate about what this martial art can do for everyone- especially women! It is empowering and exciting to be able to defend yourself.

AS WITH ALL OF THE INSTRUCTORS IN THE INTERMOUNTAIN HAPKIDO ALLIANCE, Rachel IS CPR, & AED CERTIFIED THROUGH american Red Cross.
